These days there is a lot of talk about Health and Safety at work, and rightly so. It is important that workers safely return to their families at the end of each working day. Identifying, hazards and risks and taking steps to eliminate or minimise them are now common practice. (Or they should be!) Under the Health and Safety Act, health is defined as physical and mental health; however, it is easy, at times to overlook the psychological wellbeing of those at work.
This workshop explores what a “healthy” workplace looks like and looks at some steps that can be taken to create a work environment that promotes employee health and well-being while enhancing organisational performance, which in turn benefits both the employee and the organisation.
Content includes:
What does a “well” workplace look like?
What are the benefits of creating a healthy workplace?
Who is responsible for workplace wellness?
Some Toolbox tips to promote wellbeing in the workplace
